New favorite photo...

Emily had a photo shoot! Because I have no children I take pictures of my cats, alright! Don't judge me...hehe....besides I'm married so I can't completely be the crazy cat lady.

Skeletons...

Everyone has skeletons right? Some live in closets, mine lived in a vintage Samsonite train case in my basement storage. I was recently confronted by my case-o-skeleton while in storage digging out one of the cat carriers. I knew the case was there - but I swear I hadn't opened it in nearly 10 years. So this past Saturday I finally opened the case and confronted a skeleton.

The case contained memories from a boy I dated when I was 16ish. Seems so funny now thinking back about what my feelings were then for that boy and what my feels are now for my husband. I discarded most of the items in the case, but I couldn't part with these wonderful envelopes and a few ephemera items, that will actually become part of art someday. I give the boy a lot of credit he was a really good artist.

I had to enclose the other picture just because - I laughed when I saw it and thought - o crap I was really young and man I wore the heck out of that dress; wonder what ever happened to it?

When a door closes...

It's always sad to see something you loved and poured your heart into go away. I spent last night at a place that I had done just those things. I wanted one last time to walk in before the fixtures were dismantled, it's walls were bare and to make my peace.

I always loved "our happy place" and I guess all good things must come to an end, although it is sad to think of the what could have been.

I also went in hopes of seeing some of the greatest women I have ever had the fortune to meet. I became friends with so many women while working at the store. Many a late Friday night crop we shared, more than just a hobby; we shared a lot of laughs and a lot of our lives. I treasure the friendships that I made in those late nights, classes and weekend festivities. Everyone of them has effected my life in some way. They are some of the most talented, endearing and charismatic women out there and I truly love them all. So here's to you ladies - my late croppers of the night! Although the venue will have changed, we will all live to crop another night together....hehe!!!

I do exist - I do exist. Sorry about the long overdue post. I've been a slug lately - I have no excuse. But in the meantime I have opened my Etsy store - you can find it here. I added only a couple of items yesterday and miraculously I had a sale today. I know when you go to visit the store - the cupboards are bare, but I will soon be filling it up with more fun stuff - PROMISE!
